Lovely well equipped quiet cottage in Askrigg with Dale walks just out the door. Highly recommended!

Cottage is in Askrigg center, short walk to 3 pubs, a small grocery store, bakery with coffee and lovely cakes. We stayed for five nights and many days started local walks (3-8 miles) from the front door. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of kitchen items and a cupboard full of guide books, walking maps, and jigsaw puzzles. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends.

Cracking property in a great location.

Lovely well kept property. Clean and well serviced and in great little village . Owner responsive and good instructions.

− Toaster had a mind of its own but owner said they would fix this promptly. Second bedroom is small ( we knew this so not a dislike, just an observation) Coffee machine in kitchen but no pods ( and none available in the village shop or that we could find in Hawes)

Cosy, little cottage in the heart of the Dales.

Great location in the heart of the village with shoos & pubs clise by. Very comfortable with high quality furnishings. Well equipped. Excellent communication from the owners/ management company.

− There were not enough comfortable chairs if you had the max number of guests staying (3).

Lovely, charming cottage in the best village on earth! Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Everything very well thought out. Cozy woodburner in the living room. Games, maps, guides. Cute kitchen with dishwasher and clothes washer. Easy-to-operate shower controls and great shower. Blow dryer with full-size diffuser for us curly girls. Yaaaay! Much nicer than my little travel diffuser. HUGE master bedroom with character beams and the cutest little 2nd bedroom.

− Absolutely the only thing that we could have wished for would be a clothes dryer. Very nice to have the washer and the very large drying rack though and the owners were VERY quick to respond to my texted requests to turn up the heating whenever I had clothes drying on the rack. XD

Comfortable and well equipped cottage

Great location in Wensleydale. Askrigg has good facilities for a small Dales village including a couple of pubs and a village shop. The cottage is very comfortable, well furnished and equipped. Five miles from Hawes and around 12 miles from Richmond. No parking on site but it's possible to park on the road outside or as I did, park in a small public car park about a minutes walk away (honesty box charge). Really enjoyed our stay.
