This is the second time we've stayed here and this time we had our kids stay with us for a few days. No change from my 1st review as it was just as enjoyable this time around. Even with 6 or 7 people at one stage there was ample room. I recommend the walk up to Newgale along the coastal path, stunning !

What a great place to relax and unwind in. The location up the hill with the fantastic views over the beach, sea and town was a pleasure to wake up to every morning. Sitting there having breakfast overlooking it all was a treat. There is plenty of room in the property to spread out in, the bedroom we used was very comfortable and the woodburner fire in the living room made the evenings warm and cosy. Bring your own logs and kindling as we found the ones on sale in the local store well expensive. Stop at Lidl on the way in. The kitchen is well equipped, has everything you need and a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer are also in situ. The added bonus for us as well was being right next to the coastal path for some good walks. We really enjoyed our time here and have allready booked again for next year.

A cracking place to stay

9.0

Access throughout is level with no steps anywhere from the driveway to all of the rooms. The only steps are from the living room down to the patio, but this can be accessed step-free from the driveway. Having a holiday cottage with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier was brilliant. The view from the living room and dining table was very good. There was plenty of crockery, pots and pans. The place was well stocked with books, games and puzzles for times when the weather isn't nice. Even with strong winds and horizontal rain battering the place, it felt cosy inside with plenty to do. Having three separate bathrooms was a surprise - one toilet / basin room, one toilet / basin / shower room and another with toilet / basin / bath with shower over. There were heated towel rails for drying damp swimming costumes. The rooms were a decent size but the bunk beds were quite enclosed but acceptable. One double room is accessed through a bunk bed room. The place was private with only one neighbour fairly close. The village and beach were a short walk away, either via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or along the road, but the walk back up was a long steady incline. There's a private drive with space for two cars or three if you use the grassed area too. Broad Haven has a nice beach with good sand, RNLI Lifeguards and rock pools to explore at low tide. The little shop in the village (Londis) had friendly staff and was well stocked. There is a 30-minute car park behind it should you want to drive to it. The Ocean Restaurant on the seafront is well worth a visit - don't let the outside impression put you off as the food inside was lovely, as were the staff. Again, this has its own parking behind. Booking.com could advertise this place with a much better description - Google "Rockfield Broad Haven" for more information, and the West Wales Holiday Cottages website has a good explanation of its facilities.

Although it sleeps 10, one of the double rooms is accessed through a room with bunk beds - we were a party of 6 so we fitted quite nicely, but consider that if you're going as 9 or 10 people. The living room has a CD radio unit with decent speakers, but the CD player didn't work and the radio was very intermittent. We had a leaking tap, but the management team were very quick to respond to it.
