Gorgeous home but probably wouldn’t stay again.
7.0The property was beautiful and the view was amazing! Such a gorgeous home. Central location.
− We met the host at the property she was very friendly however our stay felt a little awkward after she told us she lived in the house and would be staying across the lake at her parents, she showed us around the home which was great but then had heaps of little requests such as shoes off, no eating in the bedrooms or on the couch which kind of felt like common sense. We felt a bit like we were being watched by our mum and couldn’t really relax which ruined the holiday vibe a bit - especially after paying a lot of money to stay the 2 nights. There was no dish cloth, milk or extra rubbish bags and no access to laundry facilities. We had a couple of our family over to visit but it felt like we were being watched by the front camera that was apparently just to monitor the safety of your vehicles. In the owners defence we did accidentally break a wine glass and an old wooden outside chair but offered to be billed for these which she was nice about and kindly declined.
Our stay was spoiled by the owners intrusion.
4.0Size of house was good, along with location.
− The owner had security cameras and text us several times about parking and charging of an E vehicle. In a conversation prior to the visit the owner said we could park on the grass. Regarding the security camera, it was not disclosed that she would be watching us, nor was it disclosed that we could not charge an E vehicle. The state of the concrete driveway was terrible. It was broken up and sunken in parts and could easily cause damage to low profile tyres. There were notes left in the house saying not to eat or drink whilst using the new lounge suite. At $1000 a night these things are unacceptable and need to be fixed for future guests.
