Beautiful property, gorgeous view, remote location. Very spacious

− The outdoor seemed to be lacking, we were a group of 14 and to seat everyone outside would have been a struggle. For a property catering for 20, we would have expected to at least be able to sit comfortably together. The BBQ is a charcoal BBQ which requires a lot to burn so we ended up having to cook our food in the kitchen as the BBQ wasn’t warm enough.

The venue itself was absolutely stunning and exceeded everyone’s expectations when we arrived. The house had a real wow factor and was the perfect setting. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and the communal spaces worked brilliantly for hosting. Sam and Vicky were also incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process, answering questions quickly and making everything feel very well managed from start to finish.

− As with many large properties used for short stays, there were a few maintenance quirks and signs of wear and tear. The showers were slightly inconsistent with hot water and pressure too. None of these things detracted from the overall experience.

If you’re looking for somewhere to host a big group of people this is perfect. There was 20 of us and due to the property being absolutely enormous it meant there was plenty of space for everyone. We all felt like we were in downtown abbey! Very warm considering how big the house was. Easy to get to. Running fox was a 10 minute drive away! I think it would be even better in the summer as we could have made use of the outdoor space too. Communication with the hosts was easy and very thorough.

− Water pressure / temperature wasn’t brilliant, sometimes it was hard to keep the water hot. Presuming this is just because of how old the house is/ big. Wasn’t a huge problem and didn’t spoil the stay.
