Freezing cold, cute, but freezing cold.

The house was super cute and fit the beach theme. Location was great! Near the pool and close to the beach.

The heat in the house didn’t work. When we arrived it was 41 degrees. We turned the heat on and started a fire with the little bit of wood that was there. The temp barely budged. I desperately turned every light on, opened the oven on 500 degrees, put blankets in the dryer, boiled water on the stove. Instead of fun I had 5 freezing kids and an 80 year old man who was chilled to the bone to work to keep warm. Everyone slept in the coats and layers (and were from Washington and used to the cold). It got upto 51 degrees. First thing in the morning I called the office and they sent a very kind maintenance man who tried his best to fix it, but I still didn’t work. He brought us some more fire wood and two space heaters. He also suggested we keep the oven open and on- as we already were doing. The space heaters kept tripping the breakers and the power key going out in the kitchen and living room where we were gathered to stay warm. Anyways, he was nice and he tried, but the whole trip was freezing cold. Three days and the hottest it hot in the house was 60degrees. Hard to be comfortable in a house that cold.
