Many surprises, unacceptable condition, dog poop, dirty utensils, unusable BBQ. False advertising!

The location was fantastic! We loved our proximity to the waterfront. Fresh eggs from the chickens was lovely.

Misleading photos & description of 'exclusive' when the property is anything but. No privacy into the 1/5 chunk of home you get. Hot tub looks straight into 'bedroom' & bathroom. The kitchenette is incomplete, dirty utensils, dirty hotplace, bathroom sink stuck on a counter with broken tiles, dish drainage rack with nowhere to drain, no knives, not enough of anything to warrant claiming this place can accommodate up to 6 people as the listing suggests. We had multiple big chunks of dog poop at our door step to the verandah (which too, is shared) the BBQ was filthy & the sparker doesn't work. No matches or lighter anywhere to use the fireplace or BBQ - also no BBQ cleaning supplies. Hot tub seemed not to be cleaned out in a long while, lots of floating gunk swirling round when we got in. This place seemed so neglected & stank of greedy hosts that are just churning through guests without any personability - just a mass/universal check in/out email for ALL properties, including mention of their other sites in another town in the mass message. No interaction whatsoever. You arrive & have to search for your 1/5 chunk of home without a map or directions - surprise - you didn't realize you were sharing with 10+ other guests in 4 other 'properties' (Really this is 1 home & cabin split into multiple partial-dwellings, I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't meet code requirements). Keys in the door, strip your own bed. Many surprises with this one, unacceptable condition.

Inspiring and peaceful

9.0

Incredibly beautiful and restful. Hosts were very responsive by text when needed.

It would be helpful to have the name of the "rooms" rented very obvious in the checkout confirmation email. I did not reserve the room myself because we were on the road, and it was difficult to figure out which space I was looking for when reading the check-in info on my phone

Disappointing

4.0

The view was nice.

Me and my husband were both very disappointed upon arrival. This place is NOT private, there are 3 other rentals on the property. We had to keep the curtains closed so no one using the hottub would be able to look in and see us. The hottub saw into the bathroom and main room. The word private was used more then once on the add, however I would not call this place private. The advertisement very misleading

Ok Place but very confusing and hosts extremely unresponsive and unhelpful.

• Beautiful property with a great view. • Very quiet and peaceful out there with plenty of room to walk your dog. • Room and bed were comfortable except for the things listed below. • TV was nice with being able to watch Netflix before bed. Mini fridge, coffee maker and dishes were nice. • It was great that pets are allowed and that you don’t have a 2 night minimum like most places do and your rates were very reasonable.

• It was very confusing what to expect and what to do when we got there. The ad on bookings.com had a lot of pictures that added to the confusion. We thought we were going to one guest house on the property located next to the one main house and we were very wrong. I think you could do better with your pictures, description, and what to expect. • Communication was not great. I had started reaching out on Wednesday via message in the bookings.com reservation. Then the next day I tried calling and left a voicemail. Neither were responded to. I finally got someone to answer Friday when I called again. • The confirmation numbers, instructions on checking in and out times, and how to get into the house were different in the multiple emails I received after making the reservation. • Not great directions on how to get to the place or what to watch for getting there (like gravel roads, unusual turns, road signs etc.). • When we got there we had no clue where to go, only where to park. More signs would have been better or even setting the expectations ahead of time. We walked around saying “hello” and even went into a place that had all the doors open and looked lived in. No one responded. We finally found where to go after walking in circles a bit and probably going to places we shouldn’t have gone. • There was a very sweet older looking dog that greeted us when we arrived. If we hadn’t had our dog with us this wouldn’t have been a problem but our dog and that dog got in a fight when we got out of our truck. Then later that evening, some people were walking across the porch on our building with a dog (maybe the same one) off lease and it got into it with our dog through the glass doors. • The house was hot! All the windows were open when we got there and it was 85 degrees inside. We finally found the AC and it took until about 2:00am to get the room we slept in to a comfortable temperature. • A lighter cover on the bed during the summer would be a great
