Our stay was self-catering. The directions given beforehand by the host were helpful to find the property, which was in an extremely rural and remote area. Upon arrival, we found adequate parking and access to the property. upon entering, we were greeted with an extremely clean and well appointed venue, with every conceivable facility to hand. The hosts had kindly provided an arrival 'Brew Kit' with fresh milk in the fridge and a small 'plum loaf' (which we thought to be a cross between a currant bun and a malt loaf) which toasted up nicely to have with the tea after a long drive. there was adequate kitchen cupboards, full size fridge full size cooker and a microwave. There was free wifi, and as a pet-friendly establishment, we did not feel at all uncomfortable having our dog with us. The bathroom/shower room was well appointed and a reasonable size. Water pressure throughout was excellent and more than adequate. there was a lovey little area with a bistro table and 4 seats to sit outside, which worked well as the weather had been extremely hot! In general, the entire property was clean, modern and well equipped and it is evident that the hosts (Liz and Jon) have given a great deal of thought and planning into the property. We would definitely stay again, and thoroughly recommend Ash Cottage to others. Thank you Liz and Jon, we had a great time!

The feedback form asks "what didn’t we like?" We have given this genuine thought, and struggle to come up with anything negative! The hosts had thought of everything. If I were to push, I would say that whilst the recommendations in the Ash Cottage guide book recommended some excellent places to eat, you may well need to book due to popularity. we particularly enjoyed 'the Fleece' Pub.
