Our worst experience - NOT RECOMMENDED!
4.0The accommodation was clean and sufficiently spacious.
− There was no warning that work was being done outside the flat on scaffolding, so there was no privacy and no security. It was very hot weather but the heating was on and we couldn’t turn it off. (We used the fans and a portable air con but the second meant keeping a window open to the workers on the scaffolding). The hosts should at least have warned us, so we could have decided whether to check in or not. We left after one night of our three night stay, as it was impossible to remain. We have asked for a refund as we were completely misled about the state of the property, but I haven’t received anything back so far. Also we only got the instructions for accessing the property after we arrived: it had been sent in the morning but lack of signal while travelling meant we didn’t receive it. The booking said we’d be met, but there was no one to meet us. So the booking should not be misleading, and instructions for accessing the property should be sent at least 24 hours before arrival, especially for international travellers such as we were.
