Onvergetelijk verblijf in Talgarth

Van het allereerste moment voelden we ons bij Joyce thuis. Ze ontving ons met open armen en zorgde ervoor dat ons verblijf perfect was – tot in de kleinste details. Elke ochtend verraste ze ons met een vers, op maat bereid ontbijt. Talgarth bleek de ideale uitvalsbasis om de prachtige omgeving te verkennen. Aan het eind van ons verblijf voelde het alsof we afscheid moesten nemen van een plek die veel vertrouwder aanvoelde dan we ooit hadden durven hopen. We zijn tot rust gekomen en hebben nu al heimwee. Joyce, bedankt voor deze onvergetelijke ervaring!

We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful stay than the one we had at the Granary B&B in Talgarth. We booked extremely last-minute , actually while we were already driving en route,and Joyce was so kind and courteous about it, happily managing to host us at short notice (and catering for me being coeliac, too!). From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home; friendly, open, warm and genuinely welcoming, the kind of host who turns a good stay into a memorable one. The house itself is stunning, and immaculately clean from top to bottom. Our room was lovely, with a huge bathroom and a gorgeous roll-top bath positioned with direct views of the hill. Soaking in the tub looking out at the Welsh countryside after a day of walking was an absolute highlight. And Joyce’s breakfasts were fantastic both mornings, a perfect start to the day. We also spent two blissful evenings sipping wine in the beautiful, manicured garden, watching the sun set over the hill. The location is hard to beat. Talgarth is a lovely village with great amenities, and we particularly enjoyed a delicious lunch at Trigg’s at the Mill. It’s also perfectly placed for a short drive into Brecon, where we had some beautiful walks. For nature lovers, the reserve right behind the house is a treat. We walked it and were lucky enough to spot otters in the waterfall pool. We also saw several species of raptor and many red kites wheeling overhead. A truly wonderful stay from start to finish. We’ll definitely be returning.

Ein sehr schönes B&B in ruhiger Lage mit Ausblick auf die Felder. Schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit grosszügigem Bad.

Joyce is an excellent host, very thoughtful and kind, she always had a great recommendation of what to do or see around the area; She makes the best breakfast (we are still dreaming of the y fenni omelet and pancakes)! The property is stunning with plenty of spaces to enjoy and you're never confined to your room (even though you might want to stay in the bathtub forever!), we enjoyed a lovely picnic in the garden.

Stayed here for a friends wedding which was nearby, glad we found the granary. Very friendly and comfortable b&b wit

We had a wonderful time staying at the Granary, hosted brilliantly by Joyce and her lovely family. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown around our spacious room as well as the house and its grounds. Joyce’s breakfasts were also delicious and she went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.
