Paradise on earth
10.0This is a wonderful, dream of a house. Paradise! It is overlooking the sea, with access to a small beach right under the house. It is located in a quiet village, which we appreciated particularly. The hosts' hospitality was exceptional. Best sunset in the Aegean, straight from the terrace. Highly recommended!
Icarus house is a haven of peace and tranquility on the Agean sea to swim, read, relax and enjoy.
10.0This was one of the most beautiful places to stay. Alex was there to greet us and Jannus his father said good bye and gave is delicious grapes. The house was super comfortable, totally peaceful and an oasis of calm. We had a wonderful view of the sea and sunset over the sea from our balcony. The lovely (almost) private beach was a 2-3 minute walk down. The sea was crystal clear, a beautiful blue and we could see the fishes swimming with us. An amazing bay to swim in - even on the wavy days. Naz beach is 10 minutes away, where we enjoyed fantastic food at Thea's tavern. If you want to get away from everything, read, relax, and swim - peaceful even in the height of August holidays, Icarus house is for you. Ikaria has the friendliest and most helpful people. I now know why Ikaria is a blue zone and why people live for ever - beauty, sun, sea, good food, lots of hills and mountains to climb and a friendly, socially cohesive people.
− The only thing I would have liked to know before I arrived is that google maps is not reliable in Ikaria. Ask people (or the care hire place) for directions to the airport and not google maps - It failed to show the good road to the airport
