The property was spacious, accommodating a large family group comfortably, with plenty of space for the kids to play. The hot tub was excellent and was enjoyed throughout our stay.

− On the second night of our stay, we discovered bed bugs in the bedroom containing two double beds. One member of our party was severely bitten during the night and affected him during and after our stay. We immediately reported this issue to both Booking.com and the property owner. After several discussions, the solutions offered by the owner were not feasible, as we were a large group of 11 people with only one vehicle. As a result, the affected room had to be quarantined, forcing 2 adults and 2 children to share beds and rooms with other family members, which caused significant discomfort. Initially, the owner agreed to provide a refund for the inconvenience. However, on the final day of our stay, he retracted this agreement and instead accused us of bringing the bed bugs, despite a previous report of bed bug issues at the property in May 2025 from another guest. When we declined his reduced refund offer, he became very negative towards us. Additionally, the bed bugs were still present on the bed headboard when we left the property at the end of our stay. While the property’s location was convenient, it is surrounded by farms, which resulted in a strong odor in the evenings and a large number of flies, further affecting the comfort of our stay.

Huge hot tub and secure gardens were great for children and dogs! Lots of chairs inside and out. Good kitchen facilities with a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with shower. Spacious bedrooms with storage. Furniture was a bit dated but that didn't effect the weekend. Host was very helpful and lived next door. Had a great family weekend and would go back.

Beautifully set out property. Everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was lovely and warm. Phillip was a lovely host on hand with any queries.

− Bad experience.Drive full of weeds. Barbecue filthy. Glasses filthy. Work surfaces filthy. Toilet seat broken. Microwave rusty, health hazard. Three cereal bowls for 14 people. Stale garlic bread found under a bed. Cushions on outdoor furniture filthy. Then to top all that one bedroom was invested with bed bugs. Don't know how this is still on your website. We left after one night. Was meant to be a celebration for my husbands retirement which has been ruined. Four guests slept on sofas overnight because of the bugs. Our family has lost money because we have paid out for kennels for our dogs and taken time off work. The grandchildren were so upset. We took them into blackpool to try make up for it and spent in total nearly 300 pounds on entertainment and food for 14 people. We could not find any more accommodation at such short notice and had to return home late afternoon.
