Good value, clean and comfortable!
9.0I was pleasantly surprised because most mid range hotels in El Salvador are not worth the price but Casa Sunzal was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. My young son and I shared the Junior Suite with two queen beds. It was very clean and spacious, the bathroom was also spacious and modern (looks brand new). It has two desks for working, and a large walk in closet. The wi-fi was incredible too so I recommend for digital nomads. The a/c also worked great! The food was good, they offer room service, and the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We opted to have breakfast brought to our balcony to enjoy the outdoors. It is a very unassuming property at first glance, but cute and tasteful, surrounded by lush vegetation, quiet despite being next to the highway and near restaurants and businesses. Expect the usual wear and tear on the property from humidity, some discoloration on the bottom of the pool (however, it IS clean). The hotel is centrally located so you can walk to the beach and restaurants, or drive to shopping centers a little farther away. Casa Sunzal is a really good value overall.

10.0Staff was exceptional. Yvonne, Brenda, Vilma and resident dog Lilly made our stay wonderful! Outdoor shower was definitely a star. We'll be returning next time in El Tunco.
