Peaceful Retreat
9.0Everything from the toiletries to the dinner table was well thought through. All the kitchen utensils were at our disposal.Couldn't fault anything in the house as it was exceptionally clean and tidy. Very nice touch with the frames on wall. Really got cosy after getting the wood fire on in the evening. The host was very helpful during the stay, very quick with emails. Overall it was a very pleasant stay at the retreat 10/10.
− The only downside if any is that I wished it had a dvd player, but I guess the smart TV made up for it as you can connect your phone to TV 🙂.

7.0The house is a good size for a family of 6, the kitchen is well equipped, great location and amazing garden.
− I didn't like the constant notices and reminders to be quiet. We were there for a relaxing quiet getaway and once I had paid I got an email to notify me there were sound monitors in the garden and that we would get an alert if we were too loud. As a result we didn't make use of the garden. The information book mentions not to allow the kids to be noisy and there are plenty of signs and reminders around the property, one of which felt a bit aggressive. We didn't feel very welcome by the residents. If kids are not allowed to make a sound I would suggest that this is not advertised as a family getaway. It is a very quiet area and I don't feel we disturbed that but it certainly made us feel anxious as to what is too much noise. We paid a lot of money for those few days not to mention an additional £300 security deposit which I think is steep. Ive always provided card details as security but to have the money actually deducted was a bit much in my opinion. We love the new forest and will be returning, just not to this property which is actually a shame as its perfect otherwise.

− Only fault is the bedrooms lacked towel hooks behind each door. There was enough space to hang all the towels in the bathrooms.
