Superb stay!

Upon first arriving, there was a festive wreath on the outside, by the front door. When we walked in it was a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and the heating was on, including a Christmas tree, readily decorated! There were complimentary mincepies, mulled wine & welshcakes! I liked the layout of downstairs & upstairs. Well equipped kitchen; a good supply of various galsses, mugs, lots of plates, small bowls and cutlery. staff were happy to help and find me additional oven shelves to use on christmas day! There was a handy dishwasher, (some complimentary tablets), washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, bread bin. The extendable dining room table was brilliant and airer & hoover to use. Although the mattresses were firm, they were extremely comfortable and we all slept well. The bunkbeds we also very sturdy and fairly sized. The bonus of use of the pool and fire/ ice was lovely. We had the pool to ourselves each time we used it. The staff were very friendly and extremely happy to help. There were an array of spa treatments with complimentary £10 x2 vouchers to use in the welcome book, in the cottage. Complimentary towels were a bonus. Very clean establishment, dogs loved it and enjoyed the enclosed garden to roam freely. Lydstep tavern a few doors up is friendly and serves food. Great location all round.

− For a property that sleeps 6 people, I felt it needed a larger fridge, freezer. Two of the four toaster slots were broken. WiFi isn't brilliant. We bought a playstation with us and it didn't load iplayer. However it was nice to escape reality but difficult sometimes to ft people. A thicker bath mat would be ideal, however we bought out own. The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good. Drawers in the master bedroom would be helpful.
