Uncomfortable atmosphere due to rude owner
4.0Kitchen is well equipped and the shower is warm, with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner provided.
− When we first arrived the owner was off with us, as the bus we were on from Calama arrived later than expected. This wasn't within our control and we couldn't inform her at the time due to signal. We just wrote it off as an awkward moment..... but things got worse later. About two days into our stay she unlocked our bedroom door and walked in on us while we were asleep which freaked us out. She then proceeded to tell us off, repeating "The kitchen is unclean" at us while we were still half awake. The counters needed a quick wipe but there were no dirty dishes or food left out. We were honestly shocked at how upset she was. It felt like the owner wanted the property to be kept in perfect condition, as if it was a showroom rather than somewhere people were living in. We just couldn't feel comfortable from then on knowing she could walk in at any moment to inspect the property and walk into our room without permission. In addition to this, there is no AC or even a fan so the property got really hot.
Exceptional
10.0Everything was fine and super clean. Casa solcoy is a really cool place to stay. A nice kitchen, warm shower, comfy bed, nice host and a roff top with a nice view. To the center it is 20 minutes but it's an easy walk and if you need anything around the place are some shops. The tour we booked they always picked use up directly by casa solcoy so no worries. The shampoo's in the shower was great.
