− Many items did not work: A/C - main bedroom did not cool so we slept in second bedroom & therefore used twin beds against our wishes. Living room A/C's condensation fell to inside floor so we turned it off. Cooking - no utensils, no fry-pan, only 1 dinner knife, no teaspoons, no serving plates, no glasses though 6 were brought after 24 hours, no tea-towel or or wiping cloth. TV - sticky-taped around all edges (!!!); did not work though friend swapped batteries on his second of 4 visits and then it did. Wi-fi (which we needed for business) - did not work on arrival night. A man came and said he'd return at 10:30 next morning so we rearranged our day, returned at 10:30 but he only arrived, unannounced at 3pm next day..... then did get it working and I sent critical email, late! Bathrooms - the one off the living room had leaking cold basin tap, no 1/3 door on shower and very rough filler around shower floor. Shower floor drain was quite blocked too so more than 2-3 minutes required a turn off before continuing. Others main bedroom bathroom was very shabby. Hotel gave no licence to us as Chloe Homestay is separate (PR: private residence). As a result we could not have left our bags on departure day, had no guidance for getting the key, and they would accept a delivery by our owner for our later pickup. Also, the hotel is ageing & shabby. We lasted for 2 of our 3 nights then found other wonderful accommodation. A 1/3 recompense would be fair: can our owner be asked (even though we expect a similar non-committal response may ensue)? Please, Booking.com: do not recommend this place again.
