Lovely place to stay with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
8.0Great location and a beautiful lodge to base yourself from.
− We were due to check in at 4pm but were waiting until 4:20pm for the cleaner to leave the property. When we did eventually get in, the property was ‘clean’ but not as thoroughly as we would have expected. I would also expect a bit more wood to be left for burning - we spent an extra £20 on wood and we only had it on for a couple of hours each night.

9.0In a great location looking down the valley. Extremely quiet at night so everyone came home well rested. We are city people and used to being woken up with noises outside the house. Although in a quote location, it was five minutes drive to shops and restaurants. The property is immaculate and has all the equipment anyone would need for an extended stay. There are nice walks straight from the lodge and many others in the area. My granddaughter was crying when we left and said she wanted to, ‘stay here for ever’. Thank you Helen and Philip for a much needed relaxing break from every day life.
− The driveway up to the lodge was under repair and I didn’t see much difference once they had left. They spent 3 days fiddling around with a digger, so would suggest owners keep an eye on management fees for that week. There was more time sitting in the sun on the phone as far as I could tell. People should be aware that they will need to drive in first gear and have an engine with some torque to get to the lodge.
