Beach house - 3BR Beach Gem - 30ft to Sand & Walk to Amusement Park♡

− Several windows were very hard to close. They were open when we arrived and it was very stormy

The nearby beach was good. Towels were acceptable. Close location to ferry to pick up visitors staying with me from New York. It was quiet. Relatively easy drive to family in North Jersey. Maintenance person living onsite was friendly and tried to be helpful, but the house was "renovated" in a completely sub-standard way for vacation renters.

− SAFETY Windows wouldn't lock, floor is buckling and creating a tripping hazard, outside patio disintegrated and creating tripping hazard. Stairs to 2nd floor not uniform and steep. Door lock and bolt are installed backwards. Description of residents on property was a lie after multiple questions, telling us that there was only one other person living on property (the maintenance person): One building has a family of four living in it, then half of the house that I rented had 2 people living in it COMFORT Internet service does not work sufficiently for baby monitor on the 2nd floor. A cheap couch seating 3 with no cushioning, total of 5 people could sit in living room for a 4 bedroom house; no windows in the living room. Couch has unsightly stains No place to hang a towel in bathroom, very cramped wash basin, unsightly drain pipes exposed, toilet appears to have permanent urine stains Bench seats in eating area are about to collapse; cushions are filled with stains Air conditioning vents and light switches filthy, all light switches are on wrong side of room entrances Kitchen cabinets will not close properly No blind in the bathroom shower window, allowing easy viewing from neighbors No light-blocking window treatments Many window screens torn allowing bugs to enter house 1 TV for entire house, none in bedrooms Dresser drawers have miscellaneous parts and pieces in them making it unavailable to unpack APPEARANCE House in awful condition, siding, roofing deteriorated and unsightly Weeds in yard were 6 feet high. No railing and dangerous step-down to yard Property wall falling over NEIGHBORHOOD Local people were friendly, but area was very run down and, according to locals, not improving The day we arrived we pointed out all these problems and wished to leave, but there were no timely responses from Booking or the host on the above problems. We had visitors coming so we needed immediate answers from them in order to make different arrangements.
