Bareable

5.0

Private and quiet. Close to local grocery shops.

No Internet service. Tv not working. Broken furniture. Little to no utensils to cook with.

This was a Backup accommodation as of AirBnB accommodation had fallen through, so it was a great to find it. .

Great location, plenty of space for our group

No fans which given the heat wave was disappointing. Many of the doors were faulty including the front door which was stuck on our arrival back on the Saturday evening. Microwave not working. TV not tuned into any channels and not able to download basic apps like ITVX.

Overall, a lovely property with a few issues that need attention.

7.0

The property itself is beautiful, spacious, and well designed, with a good level of privacy and a lovely setting. We appreciated the EV charging point, the pet-friendly setup, and the generous kitchen space. The price was also very reasonable for the size and quality of the accommodation. Overall, it’s a lovely property with plenty of positives and potential, but some attention to comfort, maintenance, and the guest arrival experience would make a significant difference.

There were a few areas that could be improved. The property was quite difficult to find, especially at night with nearby roadworks and roundabouts, and clearer signage at the entrance gate would really help future guests. We also struggled with the key lock on arrival, which was frustrating after a long journey in the cold. Unfortunately, the heating wasn't on when we arrived, and it wasn’t immediately clear how to operate it, as the Nest/Hive system didn’t appear to work properly, so the house felt quite cold until we figured it out the next day. Although the garden initially appeared secure for dogs, there were burrow holes under and beyond the fence, which may be worth addressing for pet owners. Some maintenance and finishing touches would also improve the overall experience, particularly considering the sizeable security deposit requested. The outdoor lighting was confusing, as we could only operate one light in the kitchen and couldn’t locate the switches for the others. Garden furniture would also have been a lovely addition. A few housekeeping details could have been better attended to — the tumble dryer still had water and lint that needed emptying, and the dishwasher performance wasn’t great. The main bedroom bed squeaked quite badly whenever we moved and had to be pulled away from the wall to improve it. The sofa was also not especially comfortable.

A very disappointing stay at Kestrel Gardens , very poorly equipped for number of people it sleeps.

The letting agent was good , answering my questions promptly. Football table was fun . Plenty of parking.

No wardrobes in any of the bedrooms or anywhere to hang clothes or wet towels. Cheap white blinds in the bedrooms , no curtains, except the master ,where a white shower curtain replaced the blind! High chair was broken. Insufficient seating for number of people staying in lounge and kitchen. £150 for 2 dogs over weekend seemed very expensive
