We had good stay. A few improvements would have made it great

The cottage was spacious, plenty of room for our family of four. We got a lot of use out of the pool table. We didn’t have really young kids but nice that they supplied a pack and play and high chair.

− It was generally clean but there were lots of cobwebs and the walls needed wiping in places. There is a safety issue in the master bath where the shower light and wires are exposed. There needs to be more dishes. There were only 3 bowls and 6 large plates for a house that sleeps 6+. This was insufficient for our 5-day stay. We had to buy paper plates and bowls. Disappointed in the 1 ply toilet paper and lack of Kleenex.

Comfortable home away from home - would recommend and return

This property is a spacious, modern cottage home on the burnt river, less than a 15 minute drive from downtown Fenelon Falls. The rec room’s pool table and stocked kid’s toys provided good entertainment. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t ideal during our brief stay so we didn’t go in the river or use the bbq, but there is a great opportunity for outdoor leisure here. Communications with the owner were pleasant.

− It would’ve been nice to have an additional tv placed in the rec room and/or bedrooms, as there is only one in the main living room. It’s a great tv at least - a nice big screen!

A peaceful retreat with full amenities and a great access to a clean river.

The house was well-appointed and generally quite clean. The direct and easy access to Burnt river via a small dock and the provision of kayaks made our stay very memorable. If you bring your own fishing kits, there is quite good recreational fishing to be had!! Fish are small, but still fun to catch. It was also wonderful to be able to have a nice bbq, the grill was easy to use.

− The cleanliness could be a tad better. Most areas were very clean, but there were a few spaces that were overlooked. But I am quite a clean freak, so my expectations are higher than most. Importantly, the bathrooms were spotless, as were the sheets, beds and kitchen area. My children get into small spaces and touch everything, so those were the areas that I felt still needed an extra wipe down, such as window sills. The couch cushions could also use a good hoovering.
