Disappointing experience - not the luxury penthouse advertised
2.0Located in a wonderful neighborhood
− The flat fell far short of its description as a luxury penthouse. On arrival, I was greeted by a strong smell of garbage. There were hairs on the bed linen and in the closet where clean sheets and towels were supposed to be stored as well as in the sink. Under the coffee table there was a chunk of unidentified food, and some of the lights were not working. The balcony overlooked a construction site. What made the experience particularly unpleasant was the host's response. Instead of addressing these concerns, she reacted rudely, accused me of having a "hidden agenda" and suggested I change the sheets myself. Cleaning was only offered for the following day. Given the condition of the apartment and the host's response, I did not feel comfortable staying there and ended up booking a hotel instead. A very disappointing experience, especially considering the price.

9.0-Walking distance to everything, but not in the centre of tourist crowd. Which to us is perfect. -Clean and modern. -It has everything you can possibly need for few days holiday and some extras. -Right downstairs is a yummy souvlaki place with most polite staff. And you are surrounded by selections of both fancy and hole in the wall places to eat. Kolonaki district is now my favourite place.
− Nothing that the host did not sort out immediately. There is currently a massive crane machine in the way of the view however it’s not a deal breaker for us. This is out of anyone’s control.

10.0Beautifully designed and furnished, really well equipped, spotlessly clean. Great shower and bathroom. The location - overlooking the main square in Kolonaki - is excellent, very convenient for museums and a short walk from the historic centre. It’s also only a 15 minute walk to Mt Lykavittos; nature, walking paths, and spectacular views over the city. Despite its central location (and ongoing construction work for a 4th metro line on Kolonaki square, the apartment is quiet and tranquil. And the large terrace is a delight in a sunny day. I’ve stayed in Athens many times, and this is apartment is superb!
