7.0Die Lage ist gut, das Personal sehr freundlich, die Küche und der Aufenthaltsraum sind ansprechend.
− Das Dachzimmer für Singels ist alt. Teppich und Bett gehören erneuert.
Disappointed
3.0The building was charming, and the proprietor was initially quite friendly and helpful. However, he was never around once we were checked in.
− The hotel advertised a king-sized bed and laundry facility. The bed was queen sized, and they offered to send out our laundry. We couldn't do it ourselves as expected. The hotel did not have air conditioning (it was 93 degrees outside), and the windows didn't open, making sleep a near impossibility. The hotel lobby was in the rear of the building, so we had to walk through multiple room hallways to get there. Other than when we first arrived, there was never any staff available; the lobby was always abandoned. We had the room reserved for four nights but checked out and moved to the Hampton after two.
Great value for money just a short walk from the historic centre of York
8.0Mo is a very friendly and helpful host, and it was a pleasure to talk to him and other members of staff.
− I stayed in a room where the window was cracked open just a little at all times but it couldn't be opened, so you couldn't really ventilate the room - just a minor inconvenience.

10.0This lovely guest house is one of the best I have ever stayed in. It is so clean and its very comfortable. The staff could not be anymore helpful they were so lovely. On the ground floor there are tables and chairs and a full kitchen with everything you need. You can buy food and cook it yourself if you want to. There is a microwave a cooker a double door fridge freezer which also dispences ice cold water. There is also a coffee machine with pods.There is a lovely little seating area outside of the kitchen. In our room we had a street view and there was a free standing fan and a coffee machine as well as a kettle. The place is only a few minutes walk from Bootham Bar and other well known York atractions. There are a few pubs just down the road. 2 of them serve food. There are some shops and cafes. Next door but one there is a lovely little bakery who do bread, sandwiches and breakfast rolls. We had a perfect time. Thank you all so very much. We will be back again soon.
