Tranquil Gozo Farmhouse♡

Has potential but needs a lot of improvement

- good communication with owner in lead up to check-in - easy check in - good rural location - swimming pool area was best part - well positioned to still be pleasant in the heat - spacious farmhouse (bigger than what it looks on photos). - easy parking nearby - well equipped with iron board and washing machine - BBQ not the one pictured but a small charcoal one, still good to cook for 4 people - bedrooms spacious and well airconditioned (about €3.50 / night to run 3 airconditions)

− - Cleanliness was the biggest downfall here - Cleared 6 dead cockroaches from kitchen at point check in (after a supposed clean up). This is a common problem in Malta but would not expect it at check-in -cleared rubbish such as empty twistees packet from upstairs living room area at check in (photo 1) - Hob dirty with left over food on top (photo 4) - upstairs bathroom bucket not emptied with dirty wipes and fingernails (photo 5). A lot of cups and cutlery was dirty. - sat on sofa upstairs to feel something sharp on my hand jutting between cushions - it was an old blood stained razor blade (photo 6) and thankfully no injuries as we had small children with us. - ongoing rodent activity - often had to clear off mouse droppings or mouse urine stains from kitchen surfaces (photo 2) (photo 3 -personal cooking vessel left in kitchen) in mornings such that it was not safe to leave any food outside fridge or in cupboards. Shelf in downstairs living room also showed rodent droppings (photo 9). This is the biggest issue as can lead to illnesses like hantavirus and leptospira. Some pest repellent things present around the house but clearly not effective. - downstairs bathroom door does not close and one of the upstairs bathroom doors does not lock - oven does not work (or at least we couldn't get to work it - messaged property manager on number provided but no replies) -Air conditioner meter still used up money even when air-conditioners were off during the day (we only used at night) - one out of three fans broken (didn't have a huge impact though)

Ein unglaubliches Haus! Wir hatten eine super Zeit. Der Pool und der komplette Aussenbereich sind einzigartig. Die dicken Wände im riesigen Innenraum sind sehr beeindruckend. Dass es im Erdgeschoss modrig riecht (wei man ja in vielen Kommentaren liest) gehört sicher zum Flair des Hauses und stört nicht wirklich (das Schlafzimmer im EG haben wir nicht benötigt). Die Küche ist sehr vollständig ausgestattet und hat prima funktioniert. Tipps: - Gottseidank habe ich vorher hier in den Kommentaren schon gelesen, dass der Google-Maps Eintrag derzeit nicht stimmt (liegt ca. 150m daneben)! Der Eintrag hier auf Booking ist aber korrekt :) - Mücken-Repellent mitbringen - Für die Klimaanlage brauchten wir ca. 1€ pro Raum und Nacht (in 1€ oder 2€ Münzen). Sie arbeitet sehr angenehm leise!

− Die Betten sind nicht sehr bequem, insbesondere die Kissen waren nicht schön. Der schicke Grill von den Bildern war leider nicht mehr da, der kleine Holzkohlegrill nicht wirklich ernst gemeint, aber der Gasherd ging bestens.

− Lacking maintenance and very minimal essentials, beds were uncomfortable. Everything in the kitchen was dirty and needed a good wash. Maps had this place in two different locations so a bit tricky to find

Loved the location and the property was everything we could have wanted. Any questions we had were answered promptly and David allowed us to check out late as we had a late flight going home. Bus stop was right outside the door and Ubers were easy to get for going out in the evenings. San Lawrenz was a 10 minute walk away where there's a wee pub, a lovely restaurant and a supermarket. Easy walking to Dwerja Bay and along the cliff tops. This is our second time in Gozo but our favourite accommodation. We shall be returning soon. Basen!!! Wystrój domu. Piękna okolica. Cisza. Bliskość komunikacji miejskiej.

− Czystość pozostawiała wiele do życzenia. Prysznic- tragedia! Brak środków higienicznych: 4 rolki papieru na 9 dni dla 5 osób, zero mydła w łazienkach, brak worków na śmieci, brak płynu do naczyń. Telewizor bez możliwości oglądania.
