Een fijn ontvangst door de eigenaren. Heel vriendelijk ondanks dat we eigenlijk te vroeg waren aangekomen. Het huisje is heel schoon, netjes en vrij nieuw. Een prachtige tuin met een evenzo mooi zwembad. De trullo ligt circa 5 minuten met de auto van Martina Franca.

The outdoor facilities are absolutely amazing. Pool was open in October and the kids loved it! The outdoor kitchen and lounge area are a huge bonus, so comfy and relaxing. Lovely garden too. The house itself is cosy and nicely decorated. Good location to explore the area.

Such a beautiful, beautiful home! The outdoor space is immaculate and an absolute dream. The pool was kept very clean and despite it being a bit cold in October, it was still nice to have a quick dip. We cooked outside as well and it was an incredible space to have a meal, start the morning with breakfast or relax in (with the two cats that visited every day). The house had all the facilities that we needed as well including a washing machine with laundry tablets, dryer (we didn't use this), hairdryer, extra amenities in the bathroom like hairspray and sunscreen, closet and hangers etc. We were also provided pool towels. There is also a heating system for when it gets to the cooler months. Home is also gated with an electric gate so it added to the feeling of security. It was very quiet in the evenings so slept really well. It is by a road with a medium level of traffic so you can hear cars go by during the day but it's not a major issue and it's basically dead silent in the evenings. The owners were very helpful and the caretaker(?) Anna was so incredibly friendly and helpful as well being very patient with my beginner Italian. We were having difficulties with charging the electric car as it wasn't working so everyone was helpful in fixing the problem.

− I'm guessing this is an issue in the area but just as a note, if you're using too many appliances at once, e.g. several lights + hair dryer + kettle, the electricity cuts out (or maybe a light will dim or flicker). So just be conscious of using just one electricity-intensive appliance at a time. For anyone taking an electric car as well, there is a wallbox which is really helpful for charging but if your car has the ability to (we hired a Polestar 2), limit the max amount it can take in (we eventually figured out that we had to drop the setting from 32A to 12A) otherwise the power trips after a few minutes, the car doesn't charge, and you have to flip back the general power switch on the switchboard in the garage.

Charming villa in a beautiful location. Extra ammenities provided. The kindness and attention of the hosts was very much appreciated. Good base for exploring the surrounding region. 2 bedrooms, one bedroom connects to hallway. Perfect for our family of 4. One bathroom with an additional outdoor shower. Multiple large outdoor living spaces and large table to enjoy dining outside. Bose speaker with bluetooth outside for your listening pleasure. Lovely pool with loungers and umbrellas surrounded by nice landscaping. Everything was impeccable and I highly recommend Trullo Gemma.

− Slightly uneven stair pathway from the driveway but we managed without issue. A kettle would be a good addition but we preferred using the Nespresso machine and appreciated that coffee pods were provided as well.
