Unprofessional management
1.0− I’ve used Booking.com for many years and never had a problem — until this property, which was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. First, a man entered the house without our knowledge or consent. We noticed that a chair had been moved, and when we contacted the property managers (Holidu), they casually told us it was “just the gardener.” No one informed us beforehand. We are a group of girls traveling alone in a foreign country — this was completely unacceptable. Having a man enter the property without warning made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. We had to check all our belongings and were on edge for the rest of the stay. The situation was made worse by the constant, intrusive messaging we received during our stay. Someone from Holidu was messaging us repeatedly — including late at night, even after 22:00 — and at one point asked for my personal information in the middle of the trip, which was totally inappropriate. We were on vacation, trying to disconnect, and instead we had to deal with endless messages, pressure, and poor communication. To make things even more frustrating, checkout was listed as 12:00, but we were told to leave at 10:00. When we pushed back, it changed to 10:30–11:00 — apparently because “other guests were arriving.” That’s not how it works. We paid for the stay until 12:00 and deserved to be respected as guests. I strongly recommend that Booking.com reviews the chat history between us and Holidu. It speaks for itself — constant messages, shifting explanations, and complete unprofessionalism. I would never book this property again, and I encourage others — especially women traveling — to stay away. Holidu’s handling of this situation was extremely poor, and this listing should be re-evaluated immediately.
