A lovely, well designed, surprisingly spacious modern shepherd's hut. Well stocked mini kitchen. Really comfy bed with storage. Breakfast bar. Lovely bathroom with a great shower. Hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the underfloor heating or wood burner. An electric fan was supplied which was most appreciated. Our own quiet paddock with seating areas and firepit if required....We were given a tour of the small holding by Dan which was really nice. Meeting the animals. Dan and Nicky are excellent hosts. Great communication with directions and welcomed at the gate. Perfect, peaceful weekend away. Great to have the paddock and hut to yourselves. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place to just relax and chill out

This is a fantastic place to totally relax and chill out. The setting is perfect, the hut is extremely clean with the most comfortable bed and soft bed linen. There is everything you will need. There is a firepit outside with logs and firelighters available. I cant fault this place and will definitely be back.. we had great weather and sat outside to have a picnic and then lit the firepit to toast marshmallows. Its so peaceful and the views are lovely.

We have just returned from a fantastic one-night stay, having visited for the first time, and honestly wished it had been longer! Before booking, both the photos and the amazing reviews completely sold it to us, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. Dan was an exceptional host. He took the time to include us in feeding the animals, explaining each of their quirks and sharing his knowledge, which really added to the experience. The shepherd’s hut itself has everything you could possibly need. Sitting in bed and looking out across the surroundings was incredibly relaxing. Equally, it was a pleasure sitting outside and being greeted by the friendly farm cat and turkey. If you’re in need of some true mindfulness, peace and relaxation, this is absolutely the place to visit. Only returned earlier today and already looking at when we can come back!
