The villa is beautiful with stunning views. The boardwalk in Calheta has many quaint restaurants. The pool is amazing with nice loungers and umbrellas. The kitchen was nice but there is not enough drinking glasses, no baking pans and barely any cooking untensils. We made a pizza on the rack put had to pull it out with a spoon and cut it with a knife. The internet was spotty and kept going out. The only problem we had with our stay was that we had 5 people. The listing showed and described the villa having four beds. There are only 3. We asked about it immediately upon discovering this fact and contacted the owner and were brushed off with it being a mistake, sorry. When searching for a place to stay the first thing you put in is how many guests and how many beds you need. That completely factors into what the cost is. My teenage son and daughter had to share a bed and so we gave them the primary bedroom king bed, which changed everyone’s location. It was not the best sleeping arrangement. I pressed further asking if she would be would compensate us in any way. They came back as we were leaving to the airport saying they would give us a discount on a future stay. That resolution only benefits them , when they were the ones that made the mistake. Overall we enjoyed the villa but felt we were taken advantage of with a bait and switch. Not a great feeling for a vacation.
