Faux ancient Roman accommodation in Lecce.

The plunge pool was welcome during the heat. Airconditioning was adequate for both living and main bedroom. The hosts were friendly and helpful when we met them on arrival.

− Seems very expensive for a lower quality accommodation compared to to other accommodation in Puglia. Photos of the property were very misleading. Making contact with the host was initially difficult as our email wasn't acknowledged. Only contact is through WhatsApp. No internet, our fault as we didn't check on booking. Very frustrating to not have WiFi. Most places it is standard pre- requisite. The house was incredibly dark inside so not a comfortable place to spend time relaxing during the day. The faux ancient Roman decor and garish colour schemes throughout will not be to everyone's taste. Carparking is street parking, not always available in front of the property. In the advertisement, it states they speak a number of languages including English. Google translate was their only means for communication for English.. The other two bedrooms were not ventilated and no air conditioning provided for them.
