Very disappointed in what we thought would be a fun experience in a quite rural setting.
2.0The lady who meet us when we arrived was very nice. She quickly gave us the keys, showing us the two rooms that we rented, but had to hurry off to the olive mill, noting that we arrived earlier than we expected. She told us of a grocery store we could drive to for some food supplies since it was getting late, and no restaurants in the area.
− There were at least 20 to 25 flies in the apartment, but no fly swatter. The mattress on the bed was very old, uncomfortable, having springs bulging out of it. It needs to be replaced. After going to bed, at around 10:30pm, there was a very loud noise outside, at first I thought it was a helicopter, then realized it was some kind of machinery. It was so loud it kept us up for about three hours. The sound seemed to get softer, then louder again, as if farm equipment was moving away, then coming back again. The noise continued all night long. We were glad we were only there one night and happy to leave.
