Absolutely lovely and professional staff, I was greeted with a coconut ice cream upon arrival which I appreciated very much - in case of any problems or need they were always approachable 24hrs, either in person or via WhatsApp if you find yourself outside of the hotel - The traditional architecture of this place is gorgeous, I liked the vibes and the place, an oasis in town, very much and the neighbourhood is rather quiet - They don't provide keys for the main door but immediately open if you ring the bell. I liked it because this way they control who is entering the property - The hotel is in walking distance to all the main sights of the UNESCO protected Old Town and they have a super cute little restaurant nearby in the same street (Souposo) - I liked swimming in the morning and in the evening in the little swimming pool - breakfast was delicious - I really liked their ecological initiative (cleaning the room by default only every 3 days, unless requested otherwise), in consequence they should only switch to refillable glass bottles instead of providing plastic water bottles in my opinion

− room was quite tiny but not an issue for me - My only unpleasant experience was the taxi the hotel ordered for me to bring me to the bus to the French Guyanan border. The driver tried to rip me off by heftily overcharging me (claiming the ride was SRD 600 when in reality it should rather have been around SRD 100). Luckily I enquired with the staff before how much such a taxi ride would normally cost and therefore could stand my point and negotiate down the price to SRD 120. Obviously I reported this behaviour to the frontdesk afterwards and they reassured me that they will not cooperate with this taxi firm again. They just called it because their usually trustworthy taxi driver was not available.

Comfortabel. Uitstekende airco

− Pas de vele opstapjes je valt snel zeker in het donker Kamers zijn erg klein

Gezellig hotel om een nachtje te verblijven als je op doorreis bent

Personeel is top en het is een gemoedelijk hotelletje. Koffie is een echte aanrader, en als je 's nachts thuis komt van je afspraken is het personeel zeker bereidt om nog even de bar te open voor een laatste drankje. Wifi is ook goed geregeld, dus werken op de laptop ging prima.

− Onderhoud van het zwembad, en de badkamer. Daarbij eens in de drie dagen een "opfrissing" van de kamer is wat karig. Handdoeken wissel is dan ook om de drie dagen en dat met een grote en een kleine handdoek per persoon is gewoon te weinig. Iedere dag hebben wij wel schone handdoeken gekregen omdat wij er om hebben gevraagd. Staat van het onderhoud hebben wij met de eigenaar besproken, en er staat naar zeggen onderhoud gepland voor het zwembad, echter over de andere zaken niets gehoord.

Le charme de l'hôtel, côté rustique, vieux Suriname, extérieur sympathique.

− La propreté ( toilettes, distributeur de savon, moustiquaire ). Le bruit de la rue, la vue sur un voisin à 3 mètres, la difficulté de contact par message.
