Cozy apartment in an amazing location

The location in the great El Born quarter and the price are unbeatable. The atmosphere within the apartment with the wooden beams and stone walls was very cozy and still clean. The apartment has everything one needs - including a washing machine. The complementary coffee and tea kit was lovely and equipment regarding cooking utensils was solid.

− I am criticizing on the highest level possible, but there were two small flaws of note. Firstly, the toilet paper amount was slightly below average for us and we just finished everything on our last morning. Secondly, the Habitt Apartment staff already arrived 30-45 minutes prior to tour check-out time. I understand the reasoning in case we left the apartment earlier and she responded in a highly understanding and caring way, but one could feel rushed by this experience.

Location is very good. The apartment is easily reachable and all downtown attractions are within walking distance. The area is very busy with lots of shops and bars but around 11pm it calms down.

− The apartment looks much better on the photos. One of the double beds was completely broken. Both bathrooms had a very strong sewerage smell which got worse once we turned on the ventilation. The downstairs rooms were difficult to get air into as the air conditioning flows only from the top bedroom meanwhile the whole apartment has no windows but a small balconet. The furniture (especially the sofa and the tables) look somewhat overused. The whole equipment of the apartment is very basic.

Practical in historical area, but not to relax.

The main reason for this apartment was location. It was near the places we wanted to visit. It was beautifully remodeled, spacious closets for storage, clean with full size refrigerator and washer/drier combo machine.

− Entrance to the building is narrow even for bringing carry-on luggage. Also low ceiling for the stairs leading to the elevator that could be an issue for people taller than 6’ (husband bumped his head) Neighbors upstairs were extremely loud from 2:00-4:00 am. Probably, drunk tourists coming back from bars.

Horrible experience which we would not wish on anyone.

− We had difficulty finding the property as its main door is full of graffiti and not something one would expect for a property that charged A$300+ dollars/night. When we called the property for directions, they told us it was near a property call Up Headwear and sent us a photo. That was totally inaccurate and eventually we found it on our own. The property has one door and no windows which you can’t ascertain from photos on Booking.com so there is no ventilation and the apartment stank. My son and I are asthmatic and had difficulty breathing and sleeping. We asked for a staff member to attend to look at these issues which was not arranged - any hotel or Airbnb would have arranged that in an instant. The wifi did not work and you would not send a technician at our convenience but insisted that we provide authority for an external technician to attend while we were out - which was not an option. Later, you advised that the technician could look at the air quality and stinking issue which was bizarre - why would an external technician look at these issues and not a staff member. The washing machine had mould, the 2 fans were full of dust and cobwebs. There was a wet mop leaning on the ironing board which we could not use for lack of hygiene reasons - see photos. The coach has stains and holes. The upstairs bathrooms door handle is broken.

L'appartement est très mignon, pierres et poutres apparentes. L'emplacement dans la vieille ville, plein de commerces dans notre rue.

− Très bruyant : voisins qui rentrent à 4h du mat dans les escaliers, la rue est très animée et la climatisation fait beaucoup de bruit quand elle doit réguler la température. Le code de l'entrée n'a pas fonctionné la 1ere fois, obligé d'appeler l'hôte.
