The skii resort was great for the kids and the had a good time. Only thing good to mention the communal area was always clean and tidy. The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, microoven, dishwashing soap and dish cloths. There is a fridge and stove to cook. Was glad that ladies showers had hot water which was a bonus. The wifi was helpful though at times intermittent. Take note its not secured so if doing work buy local data prior to arrival.

− The accommodation was fairly okay. Not comfortable as its containers with no window for fresh air and extremely cold. We endured -3 degrees evenings and got back sick. No linen given you bring your own or rent out. Its not a joke you need to bring your own utensils ie cutlery and crockery. If you are a camper then it will be easy. As the beds only have sheets though our bed did not have a sheet the entire 4 nights and we had to make a plan. I found the place claustrophobic and very cold. Please put a washing line outside for hanging face cloths as a minimal. This was depressing the room is shared,with food, utensils, towels and faceclothes hung on bunkerstairs and luggage bags..This was too much Please consider soap dispenser in toilets to wash hands especially with kids germs can spread due to this as it does not encourage washing hands. A mini cupboard in each room to store groceries or lockers to be instaled in the property Since the floor is cement a mat could help. The hotwater in the mans shower was intermittent dont know why? Ooh what was annoying was the doors from other rooms at night when the people go to the toilet. They were so noisy from being opened and wakes everyone up. Please get some lubrication spray Q20 to remedy the situation.

Convenient & affordable stay

We woke up to the scenery of white snowy mountains; it was absolutely breathtaking. The backpackers is also walking distance from all restaurants as well as the slope, so you can park and enjoy. The location is really convenient, as it's accessible via tar road, and only a 2 hour drive from Caledonspoort border post.

− The unisex bathrooms makes one very uncomfortable if you are traveling with children. The communication between the booking agent in South Africa and the staff at the resort also had hiccups, as we were told the backpackers were fully booked and therefore they can't accommodate our room preference, yet upon arrival there were almost no guests. But apart from this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
