Great stay at Sanggalangi
10.0The Sanggalangi Homestay is extremely well run by Peso and his lovely wife Anastasia. The cost v quality of the rooms is excellent, there's hot water and the breakfasts are lovely (especially the coffee!!). It's also near a lovely cafe (the Kaana Coffee shop) in dusty Rantepao. We took a 3 day private trip with Peso and saw utterly fascinating sights and met some wonderful people. Things are understandably fairly fluid in Tana Toraja, but with a little patience you get to witness one of the most fascinating cultures you're ever likely to come across.
− Just be aware that in high season Peso has to juggle guests and guides and transport options. Be firm with what you want and are expecting. Sometimes others were asked to take motorbikes when they''d booked a car, but to be fair they were fine with that. We travelled by private car for 3 days and had no issues.

10.0Chambre très confortable et propre. Les parties communes sont agréables. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Il y a la possibilité de louer un scooter pour se promener aux alentours de Rantepao. J'ai eu l'occasion d'aller à une cérémonie d'enterrement avec le propriétaire. Il m'a aussi conseillé plusieurs sites à visiter dans la région, c'était très appréciable ! Le homestay est très proche du centre ville mais au calme.

10.0Very nice and gentle family, beautiful views from the rooms, and delicious food. Everything was great. We also attended a ceremony they took us to, which was a really interesting experience. Thank you for sharing your culture and making us feel so welcome!
