Great things come in small packages!
10.0The main highlight for me was the waterfall outside of our cabin. It was so peaceful and beautiful, one of the best sleeps I've had listening to the waterfall. Close to the main township. I had the mattress on the floor, but seriously, so comfortable and a great night's sleep.

10.0Beautiful scenic place to stay, perfect setting. Loved the retro vibe to place, added to the relaxing, refreshing element I was wanting and needing.. Such a great place to stay to get away from the crazy paced world. Thanks so much for an opportunity to stay in what felt like a replenishing private retreat location.

A good place to stay near to the attractive village of Matakana.
10.0The Hideaway is a lovely secluded location with a nice view of the waterfall and the soothing sound of running water. The cottage was very comfortable with all the facilities a couple would need for a short stay. I am happy to recommend Matakana Waterfall Hideaway to other travellers.

10.0It’s such a unique stay with the stunning view out over the bush and waterfall. The decor is prefect. There is everything you need. And you are giving a lot of privacy. I stayed with my Mum, but it would be perfect for a romantic getaway. The way the whole room opens up and you can hear the rushing of the water is so special.
