Das Haus war schön und wir haben uns als Familie sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders toll fanden wir die Lage am Wasser mit dem grandiosen Blick. Das hat uns jeden Tag erfreut. Die Gesamtlage für Ausflüge und Wanderungen war auch gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

− Stekeovnen fungerte ikke slik som forventet. Kunne ha vært frittstående vifte for avkjøling (ble varmt på soverommet). Noe støy fra byggeplasser i nærheten.

Gorgeous property, centrally located, very clean and very friendly hosts!

This property was incredible. The hosts were very communicative about how to enter the property, the amenities available, parking, and even provided a helpful binder of information about the area and local attractions. The location in Ballstad was absolutely perfect and very close to the Leknes airport. We had a gorgeous view of the water behind the house and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The more we drove around the beautiful Lofoten Islands and visited other towns, the happier we were with our choice of a home-base in Ballstad. It's perfectly centrally located and there is a grocery store within walking distance, where my husband and I visited often to cook our meals at home. The house itself was stunning. There was so much space and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook at home instead of eating out. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was also a washing machine on site, which was amazing to have! We used it several times in order to re-wear hiking clothes and it allowed us to pack less for our trip knowing we had this available. Huge plus! During our stay, it was the midnight sun, and I was originally nervous about being able to sleep. However, the black out shades in the bedrooms made it very easy to fall and stay asleep. We could not recommend this property more, it was beautiful and perfect for what we were looking for!

− The only thing we wish we had was a small fan to help with air circulation. This is barely something to complain about, as we were very comfortable during our stay, however it did get a little warm some nights. We ended up opening the windows, but since there were no screens we were a little worried about letting bugs in, but it ended up being fine!

Great place for a home base for Lofoten.

Very clean, lots of room for 4 of us. Just a great home base for exploring. Comfortable living room area to hang out. Lots of windows. And mostly the location right on the water with a small back deck. Just spent time sitting out there watching the birds and the water. Beautiful view across the water to the mountains... Quiet...

− Ballstad itself didn't have much in terms of breakfast or lunch cafe. Could walk to a small store and to actual restaurants, but needed to go to Gravdal or Leknes for some things (5-15 minute drive). It would be somewhat better to have curtains rather than the shades for the midnight sun time of year. Very hard to block out the light for sleep. These are minor things - and overall the place was excellent.

Nice for exploring the area, some small changes would make this even better

Nice location, nice view, good parking spot close to the house. Spacious for up to 6 people. Perfect location to explore this area of Lofoten!

− Everything (except large bathroom which is quite new) seems just a bit too old and used. No pan in the kitchen had a decent ceramic coating left, not nice and healthy for cooking. Dishes were old and mixed and only two coffee mugs were available. Kitchen countertop was also not clean, I wiped away some stains and sticky spots myself on arrival.

Nice place but could use updating.

− Furniture feels outdated and in need of updating, especially bed.
