8.0Gorgeous house with stunning views that are not captured in the photos! Great location for Grasmere / local pubs such as the Travellers Rest and the Swan. Very spacious inside with more than enough room for 9 adults sharing. Had a lovely bbq outside with great views of the fells. Very kind and helpful interactions with managing staff.
− While the kitchen had adequate crockery / cutlery / cooking utensils it felt a bit under-equipped with other basic things. Some salt and pepper / oil / tin foil / cleaning spray / extra dishwasher tablets / bin bags / tea bags etc would have gone a long way as had to buy all that ourselves! Also no body wash / shampoo etc in the bathrooms. The house was clean enough but there was a strange oily film on most of the surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen (presumably from whatever cleaning product was used?) - had to buy our own cleaning spray to sort!

9.0The location was unreal. The house was beautiful and spacious. It was in a perfect location for someone who wants scenery and peace but close enough to be able to drive to explore. I can not emphasise how perfect the location was.
− Upon arrival there were quite a few bugs on the ceilings upstairs and the furnishings felt damp, however once we sprayed some fly spray and warmed the house up it was perfectly fine and no further issues.

Beautiful location, poor communication
3.0Great Location and lovely setting!
− We arrived and the inside of the house was so cold, they had left portable heaters in the bedrooms but the other rooms were extremely cold. We tried to message the host via booking.com however we had no response. We then got hold of The Travellers inn and they said they would call us in the morning. We received no phone call. A heating engineer then came out to us on the evening and told us that he would not be able to fix it during our stay. The host has still not replied to us and won’t reply to the booking.com team either. Making our stay overall disappointing.
