tranquil location with exceptional detail

10.0

The farmhouse is a stunning property in an ideal location which suited me perfectly for work, only a short trip from Fakenham. Only 15min drive from the beautiful beach gave me a perfect location for an evening jog. Every detail from service to how the property is designed has been clearly well thought of. Water by the bed side was a great touch and made me feel at home.

Perfect break away in luxurious countryside surroundings.

A beautiful location and a beautiful property which has been completed with great style and attention to detail. Very comfortable in every respect and not least the delicious food and wine. Tara was a gentle and attentive host.

There’s nothing we’d change.

I won't be returning

4.0

The room was huge and the bed comfortable. It was extremely clean. The location was very pretty overlooking the pond. The breakfast was delicious and the girl serving breakfast was lovely.

Firstly, the property was very difficult to find on Google maps in the dark. There should have been better instructions ecplaining where the entrance is as you have to go a further 1km down the road from where maps tells you to go. I didn't sleep very well at there was a bright green fire exit light beaming down from the door of the bedroom and illuminating the room. I wanted to go down to the bar at 8pm but a member of staff had locked me out. I was literally stuck in the corridor. I knocked on the locked doors and asked how to get out. He told me to go through the fire exit upstairs which had steep metal stairs. I had my dog with me and it was frosty. Not safe at all. He then said I could use the side fire exit which had a sign saying 'no exit' on it. I'm confused as to why he couldn't have just let me through the front entrance. I went out of the side entrance as directed and it was the delivery entrance with all of the bins etc in the pitch black. So I paid £127 to be locked out of the bar area and told to use the creepy side entrance to get in and out. When I mentioned this to a member of staff in the morning she said 'he thought you had settled down for the night'. How an earth would he know when I had decided to go to bed and what have him the right to decide that for me. I had to pay £25 surcharge for my little dog-a ridiculous amount, especially as I was locked in and couldn't take her out to the toilet without knocking for someone to let me out! An overpriced stay with poor customer service. I definitely wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to others.
