10.0The location of this homestay is a little inside from the main Tangmarg-Gulmarg road, so there are no vehicle sounds. Firdaus bhai is the best! Since we reached early enough, he suggested the nearby Drung waterfall but since it started raining, we couldn't go. When the rain stopped a while later, Firdaus bhai took us behind the property into their family orchard, spanning a few acres. He showed us the different varieties of apples, cherries, apricots, plum that they grow here and even gave us a handful of fresh sweet cherries plucked straight from the trees! We felt like a part of the family and were invited to have dinner in their family room. Firdaus bhai gave us the full Kashmiri experience during our entire stay there. The home-cooked food at Sheen is THE BEST IN KASHMIR! We have gone around to a lot of great restaurants and cafes in Kashmir but I had the best food here, hands down! The room was neat, clean and spacious enough and is good value for the money but the USP of the place has to be the love from Firdaus bhai and his family and their food!
