Adequate but frustrating.

The property was adequate for our stay and the money paid. In somewhere like point pedro It would be difficult to find better given the lack of tourism. The place was clean, well equipped and comfortable.

− The 2nd bedroom is almost unusable due to the heat and lack of airflow. The hot shower is red hot with no controls, the expectation is you mix hot and cold in a dirty bucket to get the desired temp before pouring it over yourself. The host didn’t seem to understand the issue with an 8 month old. There are also 36+ switches in the living room, with no labels, it’s insanely confusing and frustrating. If spending 5mins trying to find a switch for a fan will drive you up the wall then give this a miss.

We had a pleasant stay. The location was ideal—peaceful yet close to everything we needed. The host was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Would recommended for anyone looking for a warm, hassle free stay.

Beautiful home in wonderful rural setting with amenities close by to stay in while visiting family and friends. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming on arrival and had provided the additional items like, iron and ironing board as requested. Provided extra towels and sheets very quickly when we asked and offered to refresh daily. When I mentioned I was not confidant with using a gas hob attached to a gas bottle, they provided an electric hotplate immediately which was much appreciated. Responded quickly when the WiFi router lost Internet connection on our last morning.A/C and fans kept house cool as well as shade from the 2 Neem trees. Very comfortable beds, we all slept well. We loved seeing various birds squirrels, lizards and a Chameleon in the Garden which has lots of beautiful plants palms and fruit trees. Will definately be booking again when we next return to Sri Lanka.

− No curtains in upstaires bedroom, no wardrobe to hang our clothes or chest of drawers. Water pressure not great on hot water shower. Nowhere to lay out food when eating, a bigger coffee table or small round table with chairs would be lovely. Could not open glass doors to the garden.A guests guide with essential contact no's I.e host's no nearest Dr's surgery, hospital etc. Location of nearest places to get shopping or takeaways and how to use facilities I.e water pump would be very useful for those who have not been to Sri Lanka before or visited in a long time. None of this would prevent us from rebooking though.
