A home away from home. We’ll be back!
9.0Such a beautiful setting, well set up and a super friendly host, Ronaldo; dog host, George and 4 chicken guest greeters! Loved the fire and we had plenty of wood for our stay. An easy base for exploring the wineries, distilleries and the sights. 20 mins to Beechworth, 20 mins to Milawa’s cheese factory, about 40 to Whitstead and the heart of the King Valley wineries, and only a few mins to Myrtleford.

10.0Amazing location. Quiet and secluded. Cockatoos and lorikeets everywhere. No light pollution so you can see the stars at night. Lovely walk to the river.
− Washing machine was mouldy so we didn't use it.
Cortes in Gapstead
7.0Lovely location, and it is interesting to see the pics and read of the cottages history. Record player is an unusual touch.
− No fenced yard, so we had to keep the dogs on a lead everytime we took them outside. Especially as they had free ranging chooks. No dishes to use in microwave or steamer pot. Couldn't get the record player working so some instructions would be good. Instructions for the smart tv also would be good. The bird scared that goes off regularly disrupts what is otherwise a very tranquil place. Clearer info re what dog friendly looks like in this location would be great.
