9.0It's a beautiful cottage with everything you can think off. Well furnished and lovely surroundings.
Perfect place to explore the hidden side of the Overberg District away from crowds and traffic.
10.0Nicely decorated, light and well-appointed cottage with comfy sectional. Lovely garden setting with mini plunge pool on the deck, ample firewood, warm stove, and pastoral views across the well-maintained estate and event facility. Good place to isolate off the grid and enjoy the countryside with local attractions and excellent nearby restaurants. Very responsive and accommodating hosts. Will definitely return.
− Would be nice to have a few more simple guests perks added, like fire starters, sweeteners, shelf stable milk, liquid soap/shampoo in the shower, etc. You're off the grid so WiFi and power might be intermittent if rainy and cloudy. There is a back-up generator which does power up when needed.
Quiet escape to Stanford
6.0Nice decor and big, lovely garden.
− There was a long dirt road to get there. We had to pay for a broken wine glass that turned out to be very expensive. The floors needed a good sweep and there was fan covered in dust in the lounge.

3.0Everything was 'acceptable' There was no love. The gardens were set out for venues and we felt like we were in a garden cottage of a wedding facility.
− The total lack of contact with the hosts who were next door. South Africans are the friendliest of people. Well don't expect a meet and greet experience. No human was seen for two days. So if you want isolation while being in the thick of it then please be my guest. The sofa was stained and the area I sat in smelt of stale smoke. Not a pleasant experience. We do not recommend it.
