Conveniently located straight of west street, in the very center of the city. In the evening Yangshuo changes into a carnival, but the hostel is just far enough away from the main roads not to be bothered by the noise. This property has still “the good old vibe of backpacking” although nowadays there are just Chinese tourists. It’s a very relaxed hotel with a shared living room at the entrance and a roof bar at the top. The view from the roof terrace is mind blowing. The friendly owners were very helpful to get us bicycles and responded fast to a minor issue.

− The decoration is perhaps a bit outdated but that did not bother us, we actually liked the vibe.

− Our recent stay at Show Biz Hostel in Yangshuo County left much to be desired. Despite booking a three-bed room for three people, our experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, cleanliness was a major issue throughout the hostel. The entire premises were unkempt, with visible mold and humidity on the walls of our apartment. Additionally, the floors were consistently wet, making it uncomfortable to walk around. The layout of the private bathroom was inconvenient, with the shower and cabinet placed on the same side, resulting in constant dampness and dirt accumulation. Despite our four-day stay, there was no cleaning service provided by the hostel. While the hostel's location on the west side of the city near the river sounded appealing, the surrounding high-rise buildings made the atmosphere claustrophobic, and sunlight was scarce. Although the rooftop was advertised as a place to relax and enjoy the view, it was abandoned and filthy during our visit in late March. Despite being open, it was far from inviting. Communication with the manager was challenging as they did not speak English. While this may be expected in some parts of Yangshuo, it made resolving issues or inquiries difficult. Moreover, our early check-out arrangements were not properly handled, and the taxi booked by the manager was delayed by 40 minutes, causing inconvenience. Overall, our experience at Show Biz Hostel fell short of expectations due to cleanliness issues, inconvenient facilities, and communication barriers with the management.
