Absolutely amazing! You must go!

10.0

Hardwick lodge is a fabulous place with so much space. As a large family of 12 (4 families), we have been hiring houses similar in style for the last 10 years but I think this has to be our favourite. The communal space was ample and although we were outside as we had glorious weather, had it not been so nice, the space inside would have still worked really well. Everything had been thought of, so many glasses, plates, cutlery, utensils, (decent frying pans! ) and even a beer dispenser and ice machine! Sean was a fantastic host and responded immediately through any conversations. Also the amazing gesture of the welcome pack and beer keg was gratefully received. The big takeaway for us is there’s no compromise with bedrooms and bathrooms, they are all great sized and extremely comfortable. No family getting the raw end of the deal with bunk beds or tiny spaces with no bathroom. If there wasn’t an ensuite then a fully equipped bathroom next door. Couldn’t fault it and would love to return.

There’s nothing to comment here. As a small suggestion perhaps a small bin in the bedrooms for ease and maybe a larger dustbin to keep in utility area once rubbish removed from kitchen bin as there are no wheelie bins. But this is very minor and by far not a criticism of any kind.

A superb family weekend in a house that exceeded our expectations in many ways.

A really great house in an excellent location. Hardwick Lodge provided the perfect venue for a family gathering to celebrate a ‘milestone’ birthday. We used all the rooms at various times during the weekend and the hot tub was a big hit. Sean (the host) was very responsive and all our questions were answered very speedily.

It would be very helpful if the list of facilities provided on the website included reference to the excellent ice making machine, as this totally negated the need to buy bags of ice. Fridge capacity was a little short for a property of this size.

A fabulous property for larger get-togethers in a delightful rural location.

10.0

Overall a fabulous space for a large group of people in a delightful rural location. A warm and welcoming property with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and spaces to socialise inside and outside. The photos and descriptions in the listing are an accurate representation of the property but, if anything, it is even better in reality. Sean was an exceptionally responsive and friendly host. The welcome pack of beer wine and biscuits was most appreciated! Good walks from the front door and in the local area but the house has so many different areas (conservatory, lounges snugs, games room, gym etc) that even in poor weather there's always space to enjoy.

Not quite enough fridge space. The kitchen fridge is small for the number of people. There is an extra fridge in the boot-room, but by the time you've got food and drink for 12 people everything is a bit cramped. It would be useful if the en-suites with only a bath had a shower attachment fitted.

Very comfortable and perfect for our group!

Beautiful house Really well equipped kitchen Very spacious Very generous with supply of milk, tea, coffee, wine and keg!

The single beds are very narrow so if you are tall/larger build then you’d be best in a double room. In one room the headboard is against a light switch so if you move a lot it turns the lights on. Was easily rectified by moving bed away from wall
