Staying at Suzzie Retreat was truly a soul-refreshing experience for me. Tucked away in a peaceful little street, yet just a two-minute walk from East Coast Road and Auroville Beach. It felt like a secret escape right in the heart of everything. The moment I stepped into the property, I was surrounded by lush greenery—it honestly felt like the whole house was wrapped in nature. For someone like me who doesn’t enjoy using the AC, the natural ventilation was a dream. I kept the windows open and enjoyed the constant flow of cool, fresh air. The sit-out area was my absolute favorite spot, it smelled so fresh and clean. It was peaceful, quiet, and the kind of place where your mind just slows down in the best way possible. The house had everything I needed—every amenity was in place and thoughtfully arranged. There wasn’t a single thing to complain about. Even ordering food and groceries was super convenient with delivery services working perfectly in that area. Though it’s not a hotel or a guesthouse, it felt much safer and warmer—more like a home. And I have to say the host, made a huge difference in my stay. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and friendly. We even shared a cup of coffee and had a lovely chat—such a small gesture, but it meant a lot. It’s rare to meet hosts who genuinely care and connect with their guests that way. This place met all my expectations—and then some. I’d absolutely love to return in the future.

I booked this place for a solo drive escape — and it was exactly what I needed. Tucked away in a peaceful spot, it gave me the quiet and calm I was looking for. It’s not too big, not too fancy — just the right amount of space for one person to slow down, breathe, and think.

− I suggest to have a microwave oven and a clean kettle (which was not in use)

Amazing stay, felt like a home!

The place is very close to both Pondicherry and Auroville, making it super convenient. The space is beautiful, especially the sit-out area—completely surrounded by greenery, which adds a peaceful and refreshing vibe. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. The property has security cameras and gives a strong sense of staying at your own home. It’s calm, private, and comforting. The host was wonderful—warm and welcoming. Staying here didn’t feel like I was away from home at all. All the amenities listed on Booking.com were available and well-maintained. The space was super clean, and the surroundings were full of plants, which brought in such positive energy. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping among the trees was the best part—it felt so relaxing and close to nature. I would highly recommend this place. It’s a lovely little retreat!
