10.0Exceptional stay in the most superb spot. We had a self catering cottage with mountain vistas situated next to a most beautiful stream. The food was really remarkable - every single thing tasted wonderful and was made with such care. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.
Another unforgettable stay at one of South Africa’s finest country retreats—we will definitely be back again soon.

The accommodation is beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and full of character. Every detail reflects the care and passion of the owners and staff. The food is truly world-class and worth the trip on its own. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and unforgettable. The hospitality is warm, genuine, and personal, making every guest feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Whether relaxing by the fire, exploring the property, or simply taking in the scenery, every moment feels special.

− Wine selection was poor. Cellar inadequately stocked and neglected. The road from the Ugly Duckling turnoff was awful and caused damage to my car on the return trip. This situation is absolutely not the fault of the lodge but impacts accessibility at present.
