Perfect for a stay with children
8.0Quiet location, but still close to a lot of highlights on the Golden circle. Really nice to use the hot tub in the evening! The children enjoyed the trampoline as well.
− The house could have been cleaner when we arrived. The shower could use a little bit of extra love.
Gute, ruhige Hütte mit reichlich Platz für 1-2 Personen. Darüber wirds vermutlich etwas eng.
7.0Sehr ruhig dort, Nachbarn bekommt man kaum bis garnicht mit. Schöne Hot Tub direkt an der Unterkunft. Schöne Location in der Nähe des Gullfoss Wasserfalles und des Geysir Feldes. Im Nachbarort Reykholt (ca. 6 km) gibts ne Tankstelle, kleinen Supermarkt und Imbiss/Gaststätten.
− Es wäre gut, wenn die Hot Tub während der Nacht abgeschaltet werden könnte (oder zumindest irgendwo steht wie das geht usw.), weils doch ein brummendes Geräusch ist, das man hört. Ansonsten sollten sich mal um die ca. 100 m Zuwegung gekümmert werden, welche sehr von Löchern durchsäht ist.
Cosy, quiet, self-sufficient cottage in a great location
9.0Despite being right in the golden circle, the property is tucked away and very private, surrounded by nature and was very relaxing. It was the perfect place to use as a hub for exploring and going on adventures. The kitchen meant we could work on our own schedule and sort food in the evenings at a lower cost ourselves. It was easy to come and go as we pleased, and we were left to ourselves for the entire stay, and only needed to call initially to get the key from the lock box. There was lots of nature around, and the bug nets on the windows were appreciated for the summer. It was also great to get back from long walks and use the hot tub to relax in the evenings. The location is amazing with a big waterfall just down the road, and a short drive to go and see geysers, waterfalls and lots of other things in the area. There was also a BBQ with gas provided.
− As this is more of a cabin, as expected, you sometimes get bugs inside, and the occasional bit of maintenance is needed. The shower could have been a little cleaner, but overall, nothing about our stay was an issue, and it was great value for money.
