A nice enough house but would expect light bulbs and working blinds, all things that are cheap and easily enough to repl
5.0Decent location. Easy self check in.
− The property had a lot of cobwebs around the inside of the windows in the livingroom and upstairs and dust all over bathroom radiator. It lacked basic essentials like scissors and some utensils. The blind in the main bedroom was missing a chain to put it up and down and there was no bulb in the ceiling light in the main bedroom. The kitchen has an electrical box which should really be boxed around for small kids and to make the kitchen look tidier. When trying to find the property google maps took us away round the corner and this also happened to the uber eats delivery man .
Premium price for a very basic house
3.0The beds were comfy , bedrooms were a good size and had good hanging and storage space for clothes . The bathroom had plenty storage space for toiletries and the shower was good
− The dishes were not very clean in the cupboard and some of the glasses were filthy. The fridge was inadequate too small door did not seal properly and the temperature was too high.we had to store all our food outside . There were only three forks in the cutlery drawer . The kettle was slow Boil and the When I stripped the double bed the duvet had dirty marks on it I sent a photo to the host and there was no mattress protector which was pretty disgusting . On New Year’s Day night the boiler broke down and we had no heating or hot water . I reported this the following morning before we left as a three year old was sleeping in the room containing the boiler .
Disappointing and not worth the money
4.0Not much to be honest. The WiFi was decent and the bathroom was ok. There’s a reason they show no photos of the outside of the property. If you have dogs there’s reasonable areas nearby to exercise them in.
− For the money we paid we were really disappointed in the house. Kitchen very poorly equipped, even for 2 people. Quality and quantity of kitchen and cooking equipment was not good, including dangerously wobbly saucepan handles. The main bedroom light didn’t work. The second bedroom had a very noisy boiler in the cupboard which made sleep impossible. Not somewhere I’d recommend for the price they charge.
Disappointing.
2.0Location was near where we required.
− Not normally a 'Karen', so this goes against the grain but.... Arrived a little after 4pm as agreed in our check-in time to find no power working, no water and a boiler lying out on the floor of one of the bedrooms along with tools etc... at first we thought we'd made a mistake and perhaps someone else was staying there. There were dishes still in the dishwasher and pans drying out on the side. On calling the number we were given, we were told that they 'thought' the work would have been done. They offered to find us somewhere else... which was not an option as we were a large party with our dog and needed to be in Glenrothes early the next morning. The plumber then returned to the house and said he'd be finished that evening, if that was okay. We accepted as we did not really have any other option. There was no phone call or message to check to see if everything had been sorted or to apologise for all the extra stress and inconvenience. When we got into the property minus the engineer, we discovered that despite requesting additional bedding (as stipulated in their information) thay it was not provided. This meant contacting the company/owner again, which in fairness was sorted but again an opportunity to apologise for the oversight and earlier issues, but nothing was said. When getting ready for checkout and stripping the beds, we were also horrified at the staining on some of the bedding. Thankfully, it's not something we have experienced before. Oh and before I forget the suspicious bottle of what looked like wee that was sitting on the doorstep to greet us on arrival, was also pretty disturbing. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I couldn't recommend it.
