Nice place to stay
9.0The apartment we stayed in was B and was on the second floor. It was really nice with all wood floors and walls and gave a cabin feel. Kitchen was nice. Sitting area was great. It had a nice place on the deck to sit but the weather was bad and was raining so could not use.
− There were a lot of loose wires around and one was scared of tripping over them. A lot of places it looked like some repair work was done but did not have a good finish.
Don't book this place if you are not going to bed strictly before 10pm, or don't know how to fly.
4.0Convenient quiet location, nice cozy interior with full well equpped kitchen, beautuful patio with a river view, 2 bedrooms with 4 large beds, 2 full bathrooms, washer/dryer, staying in touch host with nice thank you for stay note at the end.
− Almost $1000 per night with no cancellation policy. And after all, the lack of soundproof is the main issue there! Staying on the 2nd floor we did not hear anything, even floors did not squeak. But arrived at 10pm (host was warned before check in) after our afternoon cruise in roughly 30 min guys from downstairs unit started to knock walls. And 15 min later (along with text from the host) that older man knocked to our door and in highly irritated tone demanded us to stop moving upstairs because of unbearably loud noise we made. But there were 5 of us and we did not do anything extra. Just were unpacking, taking shower, and having a dinner after a long day. And we, 4 middle aged family adults paid nearly $1K for 12hrs stay, were forced to whisper to each other and walk on tiptoe, in fear that somebody would come again! Even though officially check-in is possible till 11pm and check-out is from 8am, prepare to be dead quite between 10pm and 7am (or even 8am by host's text). Additionally, consider high stairs (ADA and baby unfriendly) and lack of heating inside bedrooms.
Nice but work in progress up steep outdoor wooden steps.
5.0This appartment was spacious and ideally located. It was clean and the bedrooms were well appointed, if a little cluttered. Kitchen was spotless and facilities were good with everything we needed to self-cater. Lovely large covered balcony.
− This is billed as a 4-star property. it would not pass code in the UK. First things first, DO NOT book if you cannot hike up 25 outdoor steps to get into the apartment. The host was unapproachable throughout the booking process, to the point of bordering on rude. On arrival, his wife happened to be outside. We could not get the oversensitive key pad to work, and neither could she. In the end they gave us a key to use. The apartment is unfinished. there are exposed cables, tiles leant against the wall, gaps in all the woodwork, really poor power outlets/sockets that I would not want a child touching. The kitchen, although nice, is battered. There is even tape on light switches. Reading back on reviews, NOTHING has been fixed that they acknowledged 2-3 years ago. Whilst it is Alaska, and we expect rustic, we do not expect unfinished.

7.0There were 4 beds. Quiet wooded location. Convenient location for the sights.
− 2 huge beds occupied 1 bedroom and there was absolutely no space for luggage. Layout of the house was not ideal. Living area a little dark. Steep stairs were a little dangerous. Definitely not for kids! Hard for the elderly also.
Overall the Seward Apartment was spacious, beautifully appointed, close to Seward.
8.0Host was very helpful. Beds were excellent. Great to have a washing machine and lovely decorations.
− Bathroom water stopped during showers. Eventually we realized that water pressure could not sustain two showers running simultaneously. We had considerable trouble locking the apartment when we left. Once the host gave us written instructions, the system worked fine.
