9.0We travelled with our toddler and her grandparents. We all loved our stay at Jo's B&B. Jo was incredibly kind and helpful, and we felt as though we were staying at a friend's house. It was also wonderful that she only hosted one group of guests at a time, so if you're travelling with children, that's a huge plus! The location was superb. It is situated behind a church, and the house, a former vicarage, has a beautiful garden where my toddler loved running around. The rooms were spacious, and the breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. We loved everything and will definitely be back!

10.0We had a wonderful stay at Mansfield Rooms, a charming house equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The location is incredibly peaceful, and Jo is an exceptional host who made sure we were completely comfortable. Our Scottish breakfast was outstanding—abundant, fresh, and made with organic ingredients. We also loved the decor; you can feel the love and care put into every corner of the house. Thank you so much for having us, Jo. We will definitely be back!

10.0What a charming B&B! It was full of character and felt so warm, welcoming, and homely from the moment I arrived. The owner and her daughter were absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. As a solo woman travelling for work, I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout my stay, which meant a lot. It really felt like a home away from home, and you can tell how much care and love goes into the place. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with locally sourced ingredients that made it feel extra special. I also loved the B&B’s commitment to being environmentally friendly, and the beautiful wild garden was such a peaceful, lovely space that added to the charm. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy, characterful place to stay.
An oasis of calm and comfort.
9.0Breakfast was a feast! A great selection of options, cooked to order, and plenty lighter choices too - many different cereals, toast with numerous toppings, fruit. Jo very thoughtfully provided our cereal preferences and a dedicated gluten free toaster and plenty of GF options. Fantastic. It was a tranquil location with such a peaceful garden seating area for relaxing and just enjoying nature. We had the whole top floor of the large manse house, with our own private bathroom which was great.
− The only thing that made me feel a bit awkward, was that the staircase was quite creaky! I'm a very early riser and it was difficult to creep downstairs to get outside without making quite a lot of noise. I was worried about waking the rest of the household.
Looking forward to a return visit.
