Stunning location with a beautiful family of accomodating hosts. Cannot emphasise enough how much we enjoyed our stay here and how appreciative we are for all of the crew who made our stay so special. Cannot fault these guys, absolutely recommended.

What a fantastic stay! We loved the views of the sun rising over the ocean in between Palm trees from our bedroom! The breeze coming through from the multiple windows & the super efficients ceiling fans, the swims at the front, the ability to add boat trips to epic surf breaks… But most of all we loved the family who runs the accomodation! We felt safe & well looked after, epic meals with heaps of variety over our 17 days stay! So grateful

Al and his family run business are exceptional. The accommodation is a beautifully built home, with comfortable beds, great bathroom, spacious, plenty of sea breeze and great Ocean views. Al and his family were accommodating and the Indonesian quisine was a mixture of amazing dishes that varied each day of our trip. The boat you can hire for surf trips is also great, being spacious, and even better that it is solely used for your own private group to use each day. I cannot recommend this property enough and cannot wait to come back to Mentawai balcony again.

Unique location with access to surf spots and much more

Good rustic bungalow for 5 people, immediately in front of coral Beach with snorkeling. Good private boat to access surf spots. Alee was very willing to customize excursions and go out of his way to accommodate requests. The Mentewais have much more to offer than surfing, such as fishing, snorkeling, hiking, exploring the jungle, and visiting local tribes.

− Water is a problem on Siberut Island and the shower pressure and sink drainage needs improving in the bungalow. The Mentewai Balcony and the beach was kept very clean, but the neighboring village and Siberut Island in general has no effective rubbish collection system. Lots of plastic everywhere.
